Bachelor Party Hog Hunt from CA

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum. I wanted to plan a hog hunt bachelor party for 7-9 guys. I've hunted hogs here in the central coast of CA but I've heard nothing but great things about Texas hogs. We'd like an affordable hunt. I've looked on the forum a bit and seen a few decently priced (~$150) hunts. I'm not sure how many guys would be hunting but I'd guess at least 4-5.

Another question is licensing. A couple of us are avid hunters but the rest don't have licenses here in CA. I know most Texas hog hunts don't require licenses for hogs causing depredation of land. Just wanted some clarification.

Any help would be appreciated.

You will all need to buy a Texas Hunting License.

There are some great outfitters on this forum and you will get plenty of referrals and offers I am sure.

I haven't hunted with very many, but had a great experience with Hunter's Creek Ranch and would recommend them to anyone. Some of the other hunters and outfitters on the forum have great referrals and satisfied clients too.

Yes all you need is the 5 day license. I think that license runs a little under $60. I travel to Texas a few time a year. Give Kelly Bounds of Double K Outfitters a call. His number is (254) 625-2227 located in Kosse Texas. He runs a top notch operation and his place is PERFECT for a bachelor party. He charges a small daily fee and then hogs are $1 a pound. I have attached a photo from our last trip. I have another hunt booked in Oct. Wherever you end up have fun.
