low fence axis hunts. - 02/09/15 03:40 AM

Hey guys have two axis bucks hitting a wheat patch very often. They are both hard horn and over 30 inches. Were getting 1500 on those deer. No kill no pay. I do not have pics of those deer. I have put my eyes on them several times in the past two weeks. There nice mature deer. That is a day hunt price. No lodging on the ranch. Ranch is located outside of Stonewall. Ranch is low fence. So these guys will more than likely move on. So I would like hunt to be done asap. Thanks

Went to the ranch today to check feeders. Seen 30 plus axis and the two bucks. They are fairly tame for low fence deer. One is a real brute very heavy and good tine length will be around 32. The other is longer just not as heavy horned. Also have good 32 inch type of axis in velvet that is a brute as well. Thanks

Would this be rifle only or could it be a bow hunt?

It can be either or however if bow hunting I recommend bring a rifle just in case.

There are several that are going to be ready very soon. Were seeing 30-60 axis a day. I'm thinking there is 8 solid shooters. Thanks
