This vintage hunt will be done by means of walk and stalk adding to the thrill of hunting this magnificent species. With so many other species to choose from (on our pricelist) in our beloved Eastern Cape the hunting often varies on a daily basis, keeping both hunter and guide challenged at various levels of both skill and enjoyment.

This 7 day hunt includes Pick-up and return from and to Port Elizabeth airport, Professional Hunter, Lodging and trophy fees for the 5 below mentioned species. Add more days, and activities to tailor your safari to your dreams.

All in price is $ 5,000.00 for the hunt. Observers can be added at $100.00 per person per day extra.
The animals included are:

1 x Kudu
1 x Waterbuck
1 x Black Springbuck
1 x Red Hartebeest
1 x Gemsbok

Our Prices include the following:
Pick- up and drop off at the nearest airport to camp in the area in which you will be hunting,
unless prior special arrangements have been made.
Daily rate for arrival and departure days at no additional costs
Hunting license fees.
The services of an experienced and qualified Professional Hunter with a well-equipped four-wheel-drive vehicle and a tracker.
Complete support crew of camp staff, trackers, skinners and kitchen staff.
Safari camps ranging from comfortable country hunting camps to luxurious safari lodges.
All land transportation while on safari.

Additional Costs that our Prices do not include:

International & domestic flights.
Shipping & taxidermy.

I spent 14 days hunting with Loodt and his team in June. What a fantastic experience! My PH Lammie and his tracker Atti were top notch! we took: Kudu, Gemsbok, red hardtbeest,blesbok, black springbuck, common springbuck, waterbuck, wildebeest, an enormous warthog, several smaller wartogs,

The accommodations were 5 star. loodt and his family were nothing but kind, warm, friendly people. They were the ultimate hosts. The food was always amazing and plentiful. and we spent many nights by the fire telling tall tales over a nice brandy.

This was my first trip to Africa and will not be my last. I will submit a proper post with some pics shortly. Just wanted to give my 5 star rating to this great outfitter. It was a trip of a lifetime for me. One I will never forget.

my hunt started with this special and I built a custom package..... awesome trip awesome people

My wife and I just returned from Tootabi Hunting Safaris this past Tuesday. We arrived in Port Elizabeth on Sat Sept 5th with Loodt and Lammie at the airport to greet us. Quick 1 hr drive to the lodge to check in and grab a bite for lunch. Then we were off to take a few practice shots with Lammie's 30/06 rifle that I rented. We are based in Lagos, Nigeria on long term work assignment, so travel back to Houston to collect a rifle and/or bow wasn't possible for this trip.

We hunted one of the Tootabi family pastures that afternoon and quickly spotted a group of nyala. We stalked this group and then headed farther back in this one field to glass other group of nyala. We decided to back track and try to get on the first group. As luck would have it we intersected them as they were trying to circle back around into the thick brush. Lammie put sticks down and bam the first animal in the salt on first hunt.



Sunday was a day spent at Addo National Elephant park and then Monday we hunted for bushbuck. We weren't able to find the right bushbuck hunting a couple of different farms. Tuesday we took a little road trip to hunt another farm for eland. After giving us the slip a couple of times we were able to stalk the small herd of eland and get off a good shot on the dominant eland bull. Lammie, PH and Attie, Tracker in the photo.



Tuesday afternoon and Wed were spent chasing bushbuck, again we spotted many but no shooter! Thursday we took another road trip to the Kudu camp where we spent the night. Really nice camp house that was originally built in 1820's, different experience! We hunted the Thurs and Friday morning spotting many kudu including a +/- 46" bull that I passed on.

Friday and Sat again were spent hunting for kudu and bushbuck at various farms around Tootabi lodge. Sunday we spent the day at Shamwari Game Reserve on morning and evening game drives. This was a good experience for the wife and i and highly recommended!

Monday morning we finally connected on this really old bushbuck.



Tuesday morning we made one last attempt on Kudu and spotted a nice bull. We made a long stalk to get in position but swirling wind gave away our position and the kudu bolted across the field. I took a shot at the bull as he stopped to look back at +/- 200 yards off sticks, but it was a clean miss on my part.

This was my first S. Africa hunt and would highly recommend Tootabi Hunting Safari. They have some good properties to hunt and you will be treated like family. My wife liked it so much that we plan to return in 2016 to get that kudu plus a few other trophies!

How much would it cost to get hides and skulls back to Texas? Questions for the members who have gone before! What was the total exspenses for this trip? Airfare etc? Just a ballpark figure if u guys don't mind!!
