Anyone have any success here? Seems like without night hunting it'd be hard to get hogs.

Hunters wenesday killed 9 Been doing same hunt since 1988 never hunted one night yet. I not ready to turn anyone loose on my ranch at night with a gun. People over the years have shot cows dogs pet deer feeders and all during the day


If you cant kill a hog here in the daytime you probably can't kill one at night either. Sorry

Rusty, first off, sorry for the delay on this review. Things were crazy when we got back.

2nd, to those that are questioning this place. Please continue to do so. Rusty might be the best hog hunt I have ever been on. I would like to keep the questioners away.

3rd, We just got back from there and as Rusty said, we slayed some serious hogs. We could have had our 10 by 11 am but sadly, I am a horrible shot and not really sure what happened. There was one point we were literally surrounded by hogs.

We cant speak more highly of Rusty and his operation. In fact, even in town, everyone had nothing but good things to say. Feel free to pm me if you have further questions.

Wished I lived in Texas. Have to pay $600-$800 a pig is e in Pa. Use to hunt a pig for $300. Haven't shot one for 12 he s because of the ridiculous price.

Rusty, We are wanting to come back soon. Looking at an early week day hunt. Probably three of us.

Last weekend was the second time I've been to box R this year.
I can't tell y'all what a great place this is to hog hunt. Rusty is a good ol boy that knows how to treat his guests. He has a nice place to stay, doesn't nickel and dime you with a buch of fees and does everything he can to ensure a successful hunt.
He told us that the hunting would be tough before we got there but the place is nice enough that it didn't matter, I was looking to get out of the city for a couple of days. It's that cool of a place.
We saw quite a few pigs, shot one and should have shot a big one.
He walked right up to the stand as I was setting up and couldn't get my rifle in time before he took off. May be the biggest one I've seen anywhere. He's a smart one too.
I almost hate to right a good review in fear of screwing up my chances to hunt Box R as often as I'd like to.
Give this place a try, you'll love it and its only a couple of hours out if Dallas.

My friend and I had a great time this week and took a very nice 110 lb sow. Filled 2 ice chests. We couldnt hunt Saturday night because of travel commitments on Sunday but plan on revisiting as soon as possible.

We just booked our second hunt. Quality Operation and not a problem hunting early or late in the day as the hogs were everywhere.
