Hey brother, if I had property in Texas, I'd have you build me a much better brick oven than I built in my backyard...everyone said I was crazy until they tasted the 2 minute pizza, the bread, the pitas, and the tortillas I created in it.
If you haven't, man, get on the brick oven bandwagon! Every hunting place needs one...it's the best way to cook! If they understood the value, (I cook pizza one night, a roast overnight, then bread the next day)..they'd let you hunt all year!
Let me know if you want more info...I have no dog in the fight, I just want to see fellow members gain from your expertise!
sounds interesting, i had a client talk to me about doing a pizza oven about a month ago, not sure if it was the same thing you are talking about or not. I would like to some info on it. Thanks buddy

Pizza ovens are all about mass...I don't have time tonight, but I'll share some photos in the next few days. I wish I had a real mason to finish off my exterior..doesn't change the taste, just would be cool to have a great exterior look...
Yea, I understand buddy. I've seen BBQ Pitts that look like crap produce the best BBQ I've ate, then I've tried a custom build BBQ Pitt by a pro that was ok at best. Look forward to seeing sone pictures

How much does a fire pit like that first picture run?

Re: Looking to barter for a hunt - 03/20/12 01:24 AM
Maybe you could show us some pics with an idea of what a ballpark cost of each would be. That would give us some idea as to what we might be able to get for a good buck. Also, what do you consider a big buck, or in other words what is the range of buck you would consider trading work for?
the firepitts run around 2900 depending on the stone, and if we have to pour a concrete foundation.
I would consider a 150+ a good buck IMO but im open to almost any hunt or size buck
Already have 2 hunts booked, looking for one or two more. Thanks

What kind of value is that round grill looking fire pit on the first page with the side opening?
Usually we get anywhere from $3500-$4000 for that on depending on size and location. It's 6' wide outside with the insiade being 4'. We can make them any size owner wants. There all masonry.

I am looking for some metal roofing work (install on two structures) and house leveling at my place near Junction. If this work is something that you have done before and interests you send me a PM and we can discuss.
