Leaving a tree climber in the tree for a few days.

I got a tree climber I was planning on using for about 5 days in the field. I was wondering if you guys ever just leave it strapped up to the tree and put a tree ladder going up to it?

I would have a 2nd person helping me and then I would help him the same way so it shouldn't be difficult. Just wondering if that would be easier and safer then going up and down everyday, twice a day.

Climbing stands are meant to climb. Part of what makes them stable is your weight sitting in them. I would think that getting on and off of one from a ladder would be much more unsafe than just climbing up and down twice a day.

If I was going to use a ladder for a climber, then I would have just installed a ladder stand so I have my climber for use in another location. I've left mine attached at base of tree several days but climb up/down each hunt.
Agree with unclebubba about safety issue too, always use safety harness and lifeline
