Academy just put a discontinued model 55 gallon barrel feeder on sale for $99. They were not out on the main sale floor and do not seem to be on the web site or listed in the sale fliers. I don't know if it was just the I-20 Academy in Ft Worth, or if other stores have them.
It's only 6 volt, but the legs seem sturdy. The timer & motor are adjustable, so it lets you adjust the spacing easier than trying to slide the spinner up and down the shaft. Plastic lid with set screws. The metal timer/motor box is big enough to put in a pair of 4 AH batteries
I added a plastic funnel to the barrel, and a solar panel, and was out the door just a few pennies over $150.
