That's one big safe. Shop carefully. Good luck.

My experience is that a safe advertised for a certain amount of guns will actually hold about half that many long guns.

What Dave said. I have a 54 gun Liberty that holds about 30 long guns max. Go to one of the Big Town Gun shows and look. There are usually a couple safe dealers there and they always have good prices and are willing to deal a little.

Tractor Supply carries Liberty and Cannon and most are on sale right now. If you are in their E-club, they are having an IN-STORE sale tonight that saves an additional 15% (print/bring your coupon).

Check your local Costco as well. I bought a Winchester safe from them a few years ago and it was cheap. I wasn't real worried about fire rating just wanted the biggest I could get for the least amount of money. I think it was a 64 gun and I think I paid $500 or so for it.

I tried but can't post a link. Google "Gun safes the truth.". Lots of good info in that video. Watch the 27 minute video.

I have a Fort Knox brand that is a 52 long gun safe I’ve been very happy with. The fire ratings were one of the best at the time.

sturdysafe.com. I have the 48" and am very happy with the size and quality. Their web site lists the actual long gun slots. You can get a few more than advertised if you don't mind leaning in the corner. Note that large scopes, large windage turrents, side charge handles, etc. can take up more than one slot if you don't want bumping. If you go with Sturdy, call them instead of ordering from the web site. Ask for any "specials" and shipping discounts. I saved about $650 off the web price that way.

Unfortunately there is not a standard for fire ratings in both duration and temperature. So one company's "1-hour" rating could actually be a more effective safe than another company's "2-hour" rating. Or the same but with 1000F vs 1500F, for example. Just making up numbers for a relative comparison.

They say 64 guns which normally means there is 64 sq ft in the safe !
