Tipton vs Hoppes bore brush

I'm a dinosaur, I've been using Hoppes products since the 70's. mainly because they have been around forever and seems to work well. A year or so ago having bought more pistols and rifles I bought a kit of Tipton brushes and jags over the internet along with other stuff. I've been trying to improve my cleaning and maintenance of my "toys".I know some will say don't fix it if it aint broke and others will say " are you still using "THAT". I question or observation recently is that while using Hoppes #9 and brush my bores clean up quickly, however using #9 and a Tipton brush I continually get a dirty patch. I have used nylon brushes but don't trust them as much and think of them as an overkill fad.
My question whats the difference between the two bronze brushes and what do you folks use. I have also used some gunslick copper remover but am not convinced it's needed.

You are talking to the wrong person here...I went to a military surplus and bought military grade solvents , brushes and stuff...seems to work ok, but then I only clean my Weapons bore when it starts pitching flyers all over the place. I always use copper brushes, and finish the job with some rem oil, and then a couple of fouling shots...if my scope needs adjustment, I will adjust it after the second fouling shot.

As far as one brush or the other, man you are out of my league on that question.

For my rifles, I use nylon bore brushes only. No brass brushes! Sometimes the fouling is due to copper build up and using brass brushes with copper solvent, you may not know when the copper you are seeing on the patch is from the barrel or is it from the brush?
