Debur, for sure.

Unifomer, some say yes. I never have.

In that it is a one-time thing, I do it. I do let the brass talk, you will know right away if it's begging for it.

This is my approach. I typically only use Lapua brass though.

I have done some testing with flash hole reaming (uniforms the flash hole)...testing is inconsistent. Helps ignition on some while doesn't others.

I have no idea if it's worth it or not but I always did the deburring based on recommendations. But all the brass I've used, purchased new or after first factory loaded firing, I was surprised how much burs came off. All but the lapua 308 brass I haven't loaded yet.

As always, I'm still a self professed newb to reloading.

I only buy new, pre-prepped Nosler brass. A waste of money?? Open to changing my ways.

Nope, I currently am using lapua but love the Nosler brass. I feel like it’s more consistent out of the box than anything else you can buy. I have also never had a problem with it. I have read many places of trouble with the neck splitting on them after 4-5 loadings. I’ve never saw it actually happen though.

Or are you saying you do not use it twice or more and always load new brass??

It's dang good brass. Load it right out of the box, after 1 firing bump the shoulder .001" to .002" prime, load. After 2, clean, a neal, size, trim.

I've got Nosler 7mm-08 going on five firings, with this type of cycle.

Flash hole debur on new Hornady, Federal, Remington, Winchester. It is unnecessary on Lapua and Nosler brass.

Primer pocket brush, chucked up in an old bench top drill press. Once brass is cleaned, and sized, I brush out the primer pocket, every time.

Are these debur tools really caliber specific? I see on RCBS 7mm, 30cal, 22.
