Ruger American Small chamber

Ruger American Small chamber - 04/16/18 10:08 PM

Picked up one in 6 creed a few months back. Bought a box of 108gr eld-m. Just to shoot while I gathered up loading supplies. Got home and loaded one up as they looked long. Sure enough bolt is tight to close and marks on ogive of the bullet. Just got my Mod case in the mail today. Used a 115vld and a 105 vld to check length.
Shows my chamber to be 2.039. OAL of the factory Hornady was 2.202.
Never had factory ammo not fit in a gun.

Question is has anyone else had this problem with a ruger American Predator?

Buddy's 6.5 predator had a ridiculously tight chamber. Brand new alpha wouldn't fit in it. Ruger took care of him quick though.

What did Ruger do? I assume he had to send the gun back to them?
