Bullet ID help - 01/10/18 07:38 PM

I bought some 80 gr blemished bullets off Midway. They weigh 75 gr and .937 long. I'm going to use them for pigs, just would like to know what they are. Hornady sells a 75 gr interlock but not as a component. Speer lists a 75 gr gold dot but not as a component as well. Any ideas?
Forgot its .224

You could cut one in half... hotdog style if you will. If there is no interlock ring then its not an interlock.

You got me. Generally, Midway has Hornady and Nosler blems. But I don't see that listed.

The picture on Midway doesn't match what I received. At $8.44 per 100, they will work just fine for me. Just wanting to know what they are.

Yours look more like grand slams with an extra cannelure, the blem.

It’s a soft point. Hope that helps.

That looks like a Speer Gold dot. Cant find those easy. Maybe Midway just got a batch of their seconds......

I don't know, but I would say that the blem is that they weigh 5 grains less than they are supposed to. The double cannelure is new to me, too. Hornady loves their cannelures...

Doesn’t look like the cut away that hornady has in all their advertisements of the interlock. If I get a chance I’ll cut one open when I get home.
