Reading Nov. issue of American Rifleman and saw ad for this ammo. Stainless case and copper/polymer bullet. I can't say anything about the bullet as I know nothing about it but a stainless case? Why would I want to pay a premium for a case I can't reload or sell to a guy who does? I know the steel a pistol is made from is hardened where it needs to be but would stainless, a usually hard steel, be tough on a pistol?

Supposedly the cases are reloadable. They may not need to be resized, which would be a huge plus. Time tells all of course.

I'm pretty sure they are not reloadable. It's a 2 part case design. The bottom area must be stainless, where the top portion is aluminum. The bottom area needs to be stainless to handle the +P pressures of the 9mm. This new style of bullet for the increase in terminal performance is very attractive, though!

But it's a 9mm, no biggie if it's not reloadable.

I'm not excited about it enough to buy any so yes, time will time for me for sure. I have my doubts. I'm not having any problems with either of my 9's so this fixes nothing for me. I'm just curious to see where it goes. Mostly curious about those bullets.

these "Philips head" screwdriver shaped bullets are the new rage in defense ammo, light bullets going very fast rotating paddles entering a human body. could get ugly

The December Guns & Ammo has an article on them by Patrick Sweeney. He claims they are reloadable. That all is needed are belling and crimping adjustment of the dies. Ive seen those aluminum head CCI blazer rounds blow out the primers on the first firing.

It cracks me up the bullet spin myths. It ain't spinning no faster than the rifling twist. On a 9mm what is that? One revolution per two or three corpses, if it could penetrate that much.
