Is there a niche for that cause some places dont allow scopes?? ML novice here

Yes, CO, ID, CA, OR, ND and KS off top of my head are non optical States. Probably a few more.

Basically the modern ML is capable of way more the traditional open sights allowed

I agree on the open sights, I dont want any part of them. If I was just knocking around ok, but I rarely ever just knock around.
