Looking for a bow that’s made to last, with long term parts and support.

I understand that Matthews supports their oldest models. Who else does this?

I’m not gonna go putting a brand on blast but I’m ready to move in from this bow. I might get a Matthews instead. Or an Elite. My limb is starting to splinter in one spot and I’ve had this bow for half a season. Also wear on the string is making me nervous. They are sending me new limbs on warranty and I already bought an ABB string. I am thinking I should just take it to get the limbs, have it strung and lined up and just sell it and start over, spend some money on a good one.

I know stuff happens and I should not get my panties in a bunch but I have an acquaintance I hold in very high regards, who has enough experience on the matter, to tell me it’s not just mine and it’s more common than you might think. So I am moving up and moving on.

I shot Bowtech, Mathews and currently an Elite.

I like my Elite better than my Mathews, but both are great bow companies. Bowtech I wasn’t super crazy on.

My advice, shoot several flagship or near flagship bows and find the one you like the best. I shot mathews, prime and Elite and Elite was hands down the best bow at the time I was shopping. I think they still make the Enkore so go try that one out, I’d recommend it to anyone

I understand Prime gives you a new string every couple of years. That's a heck of a deal. I had heard Elite does that but was never able to confirm it and I suspect someone may have been confusing Elite with Prime.

It’s gonna be an Elite. That, or an old school used Matthews single cam.

Even the entry level Elites are well made bows with winners choice strings, and a hunt guarantee. If I had bought an Elite to start with I would have gotten a full extra month of hunting done this year. So I will probably give the Basin a try, might even get an Ember to go with it for my oldest daughter.

I will never buy another PSE. Won’t take another bow to Dogwood Outdoors either. They left me hanging in the worst way this year.

Try and find a Enkore for sale on eBay.

Whatever I get it will roll over easy into a long valley. I have some shoulder issues. Hurt it last year pushing a loaded dumpster out from in front of a dock. My PSE isn’t comfortable to let down anymore. Never really was.

I tested a 50 pound Image the other day, less draw weight does not resolve the issue. Easy to draw but when I let down it’s like I’m locked back even worse than with the PSE. When I push passed the valley it feels like my shoulder is hanging on by a thread. Vs the cheap Amazon bow, at 70 pounds, it’s fairly comfortable because it has a lot of valley. Not a high performing bow and very loud but easy to draw and let down.

I guess I should take a long break. But I am eventually going to pick up the best quality I can find that’s still easy drawing and letting down.

I have heard nothing but good things about Elites from people I am personally acquainted with. A older buddy of mine had to give up archery due to his shoulder now shoots a 60 ib envision, and has won a local 3D tournament with it.

His whole family shoots Elite and they use the best of everything. His son has all the major brands and prefers elite, competes with an elite target bow.

I should add, they have an Ember that one grandson grew out of and passed down, still going strong. All their stuff is rock solid, Elite does not build junk. But you get a lot more performance and features on the high end.

if you wanting an omnia ill make you deal on new 70lb one in the box in sierra brown ordered 2, 1 took longer than the other so dont need the second.

I’m on archery talk too. I agree there are some real nice deals on year old bows. That’s the only way I’ll get into a Matthews but I shoot 30”, don’t want to buy used and then buy mods

Don't blame you but, often you can then sell the mods that you took off and recoup much of the cost if not all. Some shops may just swap them for the cost of the labor

If you still have it by the time I save the money I will be in touch. That sienna brown is my favorite color for Elite. But for now I’m still broke from deer season and Christmas, also haven’t paid the tax on my new truck lol. Missouri tax makes me miss Texas.

Does the omnia come with all three mods?

It’s just has the factory performance mode it’s never been drawn
