Does anyone around here have one? Do you know if it is acceptable to use in Grayson County during regular season?

Link on that link to Texas regulations

looks like it should be legal during the general season, but I would also check with the Game Warden for that county to make sure.

just FYI, I spoke with the Game Warden. He informed me the "airbow" is its' own classification. not considered "archery". It is accpetable during regular season in some counties, but not archery only counties. looks like I will not be purchasing.

I just did a quick read on those links and saw an argument might happen either way on how the regs are worded hence ask the GW to make sure. Glad you checked. IMO it is not much different than the crossbows that shoot 400+fps other than it does not have a bow attached.

Edit to add they are not quite either, and you are not going to put a suppressor on them of I would not. I have shot them a good bit and they are fun but using the hand pump to charge them up is a lot of effort. Forget how many pumps it takes to charge it but at 150lbs I do not have enough weight to fully pump one up with the supplied hand pump to get it up to top pressure. Got to where when customers wanted to shoot the stores airbow on the range, I said sure but you pump the pressure back up to where it is before your shot and if just one shot 20 cycles of the pump. Lots just wanted to try it out to say they had shot one with no intentions of purchase.

I just picked up the UMAREX Air Saber. Waiting on the Innerloc Shapeshifter broadheads to come in the mail. Going to use it on some hogs for sure.

Wishing I had seen the Hatsan Harpoon first. It costs more, but it also gets them moving a few hundred fps faster than the Air Saber. Maybe if I luck into a Black Friday sale on the Harpoon, it will get added to the collection.

Edit: Harpoon is out of stock everywhere.
