Wyoming pronghorn

Wyoming pronghorn - 08/19/19 08:38 PM

Had a chance to get in a couple of days of antelope hunting after a nice little brewfest in Saratoga , Wyoming. We transported the beer for a friends of ours.
We have permission to hunt a friend's ranch. They are currently cutting hay so the ditches haven't been empty long. Found a nice waterhole with lots of sign. Plenty of wildlife but no shots. Several doe came to drink but didn't offer a shot. The little 10 inch buck gets a pass no matter if he presents or not.
We'll be applying for a deer tag over there next year, the mulies are coming back.

The mulies seen from the ground blind and in the meadows, with some cranes. Didn't get any good pics of the big mule deer bucks, a couple look like they would go 180+.

Stickbow!! Looks like great fun-- that little town is a blast-- but the local cops were hard on us college kids back in the day!

We both shoot Predator longbows made in Muenster, Tx. Robert Lutkenhaus makes some really nice shooting bows.

Deer are looking good. We didn't draw there this year. It was a surprise but I guess everyone has decided to spend their points. Good luck on the archery lope attempt.
