Hagerman Flooded Again - Bow Hunt ?

So how was it?

Wildlife Drive, Bennett Lane, and the Refuge Road past the Visitor Center are closed due to flooding from Lake Texoma. For current conditions, call the refuge at (903) 786-2826.

The level of Lake Texoma is up due to heavy and consistent rains over the past few weeks. Hagerman National
Wildlife Refuge is located within the flood control pool of Lake Texoma (well, most of it anyway), so when the lake
floods, the Refuge floods. When Lake Texoma was completed in 1944, it was believed it would only overtop the
spillway once every 100 years (during what is called a 100 year flood event), and the lake must rise to 640 feet before
this occurs. Ironically, the lake has crested the spillway 5 times in the last 74 years: 1957, 1990, 2007, and
twice in 2015. H

Saw an absolute STUD on 11/07. Chasing a doe at 11:30 in the afternoon. He was large fellas!

I seen a Pelican. It was dead, hanging upside down by one leg in a tree.

My mother hit a stud next to Hagerman last sunday around noon.
