They made a tiny hybrid of AVS and Crosscentric cams and put a $999 tag on it! Doesn't seem to appealing to be marketed as a youth bow for such a steep price. What say you?

True, but I dont think it'll be on the market long. If it does stay on the market, it'll have to have a revised and slashed price tag.

Yeah some of these companies are charging way too much for bows these days. I would like to get in to a newer Mathews bow by this summer but I think I might have to start looking at a different brand since they are getting way over priced. I gotta find something not split limbed that's smooth to draw, comes in left hand and has my short draw length. Any suggestions on a company to look at that has a 26.5" capable draw length? Right now I just got my LX back which is a really smooth bow to draw but I want something a little faster for hunting these wide open spaces here in Texas.

Why don't you want split limb? I got my 2015 NoCam HTR in 2016 for $750, in like-new condition with a RipCord Code Red rest on it. ArcheryTalk has a bunch of great deals on them.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. Been awhile since I have been on the forum. I guess I would be open to split limb bows since they seem to have come a long way from the way they used to be. I remember a time where they were having limb twist, hair line crack issues etc. My Mission MXB-360 crossbow is a split limb and I love that darn crossbow. I would really like to stick with a Mathews bow but I have read some bad reviews about certain models that they put out and now these top bow companies are starting to really up their prices to ridiculous amounts. I wouldn't pay over $1,000.00 for any compound hunting bow but I would for a custom hand made recurve from a famous bowyer who wasn't making them anymore or who passed away. Competition bows I could see costing that much but these companies asking $1,600.00 for a hunting bow are going to get a reality check when their sales go down. Lots of good name brand bow companies who put their products in Bass Pro, Cabela's and other places, give you package deals for a great price and are now hiring bow techs to set them up for their customers. My second choice would be a PSE bow. I have owned some in the past, my buddy has been shooting them forever and I always shot great with them. What do you like for good hunting bows these days? I don't ever buy new bow, I let someone else, then buy it used at half the price. People buy a $1000 bow set up before bow season so they can hunt a month early and then November stick it back in the close for 11 months and then sell it and that when I come along.

Yeah that's about right. If I buy used then I buy it from a shop who has looked it over before they bought it. I don't buy stuff like that from FleaBay because you usually end up with someone else's problem lol. Some members at the archery club that I belong to have bows for sale but trying to find a lefty with a short draw length is really hard. Just trying to find a lefty so I can change the draw length is a hard thing. I have a better chance of seeing Bigfoot lol. I shoot my bows all year round and shoot my recurves twice a week to make sure I stay consistent with them. I have a shooting lane out to 35 yards in my backyard and the archery club I belong to is 5 miles north of me. Two bow shops closed that I know of recently which is a shame. One in the Woodlands area and one up in the Madisonville area off of I-45. I live down the road from West Houston Archery but they mostly sell new Mathews bows only. I might have to wait till I take a trip up north to get one. Kittery Trading Post in Maine has a large selection of used bows that are always a great price. They also usually have a good amount of lefties in stock. Thanks and have a great day!

Yeah I'm not that guy. I buy new. New truck. New hamburger. New underwear. Then sell it off before the value on it tanks.

I feel your pain. the choice for us southpaws is limited, and a lot of stores do not keep them. My current bow is a Mission Ballistic. I lucked into this bow a couple of years ago, and found it on craigslist here in Dallas, new in box. a guys wife bought it online as a gift, and didn't realize she ordered a lefty. got a great deal on it, and even though it has "plastic" limb pockets, its been a great bow, zero problems. I'm looking for a second bow now, luckily we have some good pro shops in the dfw area..

Congrats on the new bow. I actually found a split limb bow that I like at the local archery shop down the street from me. The Mission Ballistic 2.0 bow. I really like how light and compact it is. So I will be putting it down on lay-away soon. They are selling them for $50 cheaper than the msrp. I am going to get a Quad drop away rest and still haven’t decided on which multi pin sight to get for it. I am not too worried about the poly limb pockets since a lot of other bow companies have been doing their limb pockets like that for awhile now. Plus they warranty them with the limbs for life. What sight did you go with?

I buy new and then hang on to it until it's mostly worthless and ready to retire. I still shoot my Mathews Q2 bought new in 2000.

Yeah I hear you. After I upgraded the sight and rest last weekend, I decided to not get another bow and just keep using the LX for tournaments and hunting. I just ordered more Spitfire 100gr mechanical broadheads and 2 extra packs of replacement blades for it. I am going to hunt some hogs with it this winter and also use one of my recurves. Should be a blast!

You got to try it to know. It might be worth the price. My Drenalin is. Been shooting it many years and I keep wanting a new bow but dang bow is hard to beat. Every Mathews I've shot makes me smile big. They are smooth shooting bows.

Oh by the way...I'm a lefty too.
