Halon 6

Halon 6 - 07/03/16 07:25 PM

Anyone shooting it, I've been a Bowtech fan for years but after shooting the Halon I had to buy it, now my new Bowtech will serve as my back up, or for heavy stocking ( carbon icon ). This new halon is dead in the hand and quite as can be, first few inches of the pull has the most weight but the back wall is solid with zero creep !

Like to hear what y'all think of them, I'm not a flag waver but this bow is AWESOME !!

I've been shooting mine for a few months and love it. The draw cycle is great and dead still in hand.

I am new to bow hunting but bought the halon 6 in January and I enjoy it. It makes me look like a pro which I am certainly not.

Best bow I've ever shot, turned my no cam into my back up !

I love it! I bought mine just yesterday! I had the Bowtech Carbon Knight and just never warmed up to the bow.

I never warmed up to my carbon either, nice having some weight in my hand!!

I found the Carbon Knight to be a tough bow to shoot. They are light and reasonably priced but I just couldn't make myself like it. Does the Halon have a jumpy cam like most of the Mathews bows?

I had the Carbon Knight and had the same problem! I have the new Halon 6 and your answer is no. You will love it! It is very smooth and comfortable at full draw with no vibration as well as super quiet.

The Halon has one of if not the best back wall I have ever felt, I also have a HTR no cam that has a solid back wall. The H6 draw cycle is nice as can be, you do get most of the weight at the front end of the draw but it rapidly depletes into a super nice valley to a back wall that is incredible, the bow is quite and dead in the hand. There is some weight to it for sure but it helps me hold on target better.

I am not a flag waiver, also have a few bowtechs but this H6 is going to be tough to beat !!

I quit Mathews because the jumpy cams killed my reconstructed shoulder. Elite bows are nice but slower than a recurve. Kinda like the Mathews no cam.

Hey Pass, the no cam is sweet sweet shooter, absolute joy to shoot. If you have shoulder pain/problems that is the bow for you without a doubt. Only problem with the HTR is speed, but it makes up for that with its accuracy.

My friend has shoulder issues and went with the HTX no cam and is back to shooting with no pain !!

Yeah it is nice to shoot but it's so slow I have time to eat a sandwich between release and impact of the arrow. Same with the Elite I had. I really like the Spyker as its a great balance of the two. However I may just go shoot that Halon.

LOL, yeah not the fastes but definitely one of the deadliest - I have a buddy selling a 2015 PSE decree loaded for 600, I can text or email pics if interested, but that Halon is sweet with a great draw and speed!!!!

Got the Halon 6 a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. I shot a Hoyt Spyder 30 previous to now, and after shooting the halon, the back wall on my spyder feels like a Genesis. This bow is the real deal.

Congrats, I go back and forth with my halon and my HTR both are a joy to shoot !
