Best Beginner Bow

Looking to get into bow hunting... Recommendations on a good beginner bow with at least a 65 pound draw? Looking a lot into PSE Novas but what are yalls suggestions

I picked up a Diamond Infinite Edge a few years ago and I have enjoyed it. All my buddy's shoot high end Matthews and Bow Tech. I'm not going to tell you it's even on the same level as those bows,but I think for the money it is a great bow. It is very compact and all you need is arrows and a release to get started!

I'm sure you will get some different answers on here, my answer Is go to a local archery shop or two and talk with them, have them measure you and recommend something off the shelf or that needs little adjustment that will fit your price range

I just got a bowtech assassin..see new toy thread in bow forum for more info. Have only shot it a handful of times so far but its quiet and has good speed. Love how it feels in my hand. I agree to check your local archery shop and try some out.

I'd go to a bow shop that carries a lot of different brands, test out as many as you can in your price range and buy the one that feels right. I have a Diamond that I bought back in 2008, it cost me about $700 fully rigged and out the door and its still working for me. You could spend less than that and still get a bow that is fully capable of handling any type of hunting. The key is to find the right bow for you and that isn't going to be the same for everybody.

I'd go ahead and tell yall I'm on a college student budget so Im mainly looking at used bows, not more than $200.. I know that's low but Ive seen plenty on craigslist in that range

Maybe look for bear lights out? Ive seen a few and used to have a bear and they will get the job done. I would suggest looking at specs. I almost got a cheaper bow but after reading reviews and looking at ibo, letoff, adjustability...and finally shooting a few, it was a nobrainer to me. Good luck finding one that works for you! I know there is a lights out in houston craigslist for 300...he would take $250. Comes with case and he said he would throw in some arrows and broadheads...theres no pic kn the ad, and supposedly its never been fired. Just an fyi
