I am sure this has popped up many times but I shot both today and still can't decide which I like better. The charger is 50 more but has better accessories, with a trophy ridge fall away for starters. The bowtech is about 7 fps faster and less than a 1/2 inch ATA shorter than the charger. The sight and rest on the bowtech are junk. Both weigh the same. I think I like the camo finnish on the charger better. I have a bad neck and shoulder and both were smooth drawing. Those are 2 great bows for the price.

I don't have much experience with bows. I picked up my first in May which was the Hoyt Charger and only have shot someones elses Hoyt Carbon Spyder. Both were set about 60 lbs and I found that my Charger was a smoother draw.

I love my Charger and am very pleased with it. Everyone else seems to be happy with it as well. Let one or two other guys with more experience shoot it and they liked it.

I shot one then the other and vice versa. If you want a conundrum take that bow challenge.

Both good rigs, I own a assassin but have shot the charger too. I maybe biased, but comparably rigged the Assassin is going be a little quicker and not as loud. But really it should come down to how each one feels to you.

Updated. Went an shot both again at All Star archery in Lewisville. Dyron there was great to work with. To me personally the hoyt charger had little less hand shock and hands down the smoother draw. It is butter. The Assassin was much stiffer and had a very noticeable hump and the end of the draw cycle to get to the 80% let off to the chargers 75%. The back wall was good on both.

if you creep even a little the assassin wants to go. The charger is more forgiving in that area as well.

Things I gave up for the smoother draw were. 8 ft per second faster IBO, 80% let off for 75, 1/4 in shorter brace height the assasin is 7 charger 6 3/4 and the charger is less than 1/2 in longer ata at 31 in.

Things I gained were much better accessories. Tophy taker Drop away rest on charger and illuminated true glo sight compared to cheaper sight and plunger style rest on assassin. The charger was 50 bucks more but I made up he saving in accecory package.

In the end I bought the charger and that was after I walked in wanting an assassin. Hope this helps anyone considering these 2.

I will update the sight and rest on charger eventually but for now it is just good enough not to worry about it. I do not shoot 3D or any other comps either though.
