I don’t pay a lot of attention to most rollmarks. Often times it seems manufacturers don’t either. I like this!

Whats a rollmark

The bull crap a manufacturer writes in the metal of a firearm.

Roll mark

Several videos on YouTube that describe how to add paint to roll marks to make them stand out more.

Still, I would have to think that modifying a firearm in such a way could lower it's value.

Beautiful weapon. My grandfather's WWI issue (he never went across) was stolen out of his house when I was a child. Bastards. But, I probably wouldn't have wound up with it anyway.

6brx at 200y. I shot the top group and my buddy shoot the bottom, 5 shots each.



6 dasher at 600y....4 shots. All the ammo I had to spare prior to a match the next day where I won shooter of the year and the match.

Good shooting and congrats on your long range prowess with a rifle Judd. Although not at the same elite level, this is two mag fulls, free hand slow fire at 25 yards out of the colt government last Saturday. Still respectable for an old man.

No special rollmarks on those rifles....they both have gunsmith scratchings on the barrel saying what they are and who chambered them.

I have an Eddie Stone 30-06 bolt action with a cannon ball on fire roll mark

I've always liked the simple Surgeon Rifles "SR" logo. Probably from growing up in the ranching industry so it reminds me of cattle brands.


Sometimes there are special marks that have to be earmed..... not myself in the pic lol.

Maybe the scale was set on gm, not gr? Interesting form of offset printing.
