Pay a bit more and be done with it. Cabelas has the A400 Extreme Unico for $1100.

AZ- Hunter. You might be right Have been reading that the A300 has cycling problems for several years and you have to buy a new recoil spring in the stock

The Beretta A300 has an excellent reputation. Not sure who’s saying the have cycling problems, both mine have been flawless with light loads to 3” heavy. Been used and abused in some harsh conditions and they run like tops. Both the A 300 and 400 are gas operated

Also, I don't think you can get the Kick off system with the A300's.
Like someone else mentioned...Cabelas/Bass Pro has some good deals on A300's and A400's right now.

I have both the A300 and A400. Both have been 100% reliable (dove, quality, duck, goose, turkey) and have a permanent home in my gun safe. Not everyone follows the included break-in instructions which may be a contributing factor in their cycling issues.
The reason I say go straight to the A400 (especially @ $1100) is you get so much more. For only $150 more than the A350 and $300-400 for the A300 you get reduced felt recoil (KO system), better weather resistance, better overall quality, and can use all sized shells.
I prefer shooting my A400 but I do let the A300 out to play from time to time.
