Who's handloading for 6.8 SPC? Are ya'll seeing much improvement over factory ammo? I know a ton of guys swear by the Hornady 120 SST ammo, but most handloaders seem to be using the 95 TTSX. Any experience?
Been loading 6.8 for years. I haven't seen a big improvement over factory ammo because my White Oak Armament barrel was already shooting .4 moa with factory Hornady loads. My groups went to .1 moa once I started loading.
I found the best load for my rifle is 30 grains of 8208 XBR and a 115 Nosler Custom Competition bullet. That load gives me .1 moa. at about 2500 FPS (can't remember exact speed) out of a 16" barrel.
A lot of 6.8 shooters like AA2200. The key to getting the best groups out of that powder is to use magnum primers. My groups using AA2200 didn't go sub moa until I switched primers.
