PSA 10.5" AR Pistol in .223

So I ordered all the parts to build one. Anybody have any recommendations or experiences with an AR pistol this size?

Don't have any AR pistols but a few SBRs. Expect it to be loud and bright at the muzzle without a suppressor.

Yes. But there are ways to load the ammo to minimize your muzzle flash and have a more complete powder burn for the short barrels. Powders used to maximize the velocity in a standard, longer barrel are not good for SBR barrels. These slower burning powders will produce a less complete powder burn, make the round seem dirty, be louder and more muzzle flash. There are ways to reduce all this and make the ammo better and geared more towards the shorter barrels.

That's what ear protection is for.

Get a comfy brace

If you are using a Sig Brace then you are correct, BATFE clarified their findings on this design. However, there are SEVERAL other options out there that the BATFE has no issue with as they were not designed to "slip on your forearm" as the SIG was. People were misusing the SIG brace which forced the BATFE to clarify their findings.

The flaw was when Sig tried to skirt the rules by saying "oh, we wanted folks to put it on their forearm to help stabilize" instead of just designing a brace. The new "wave" of braces do not hide their intentions and the braces typically "slip" on and are only held on by friction.

And, one last thing, someone please correct me if I am wrong; I do not own a brace, never used one. Though I do question why I decided to get 2 lowers SBR'd now that the market has picked up and BATFE has indicated they have no issue with the current designs or purposes.

Sorry, multiple post here but if you have no intention of "stabilizing" this then why not just go with a 7.5" barrel and make it more comfortable?

They did.

I slapped together that exact gun last week. I have yet to shoot it though.

I have had more than my share.
I had a 10.5" with carbine length gas tube that was my favorite - it was a smooth shooter with the carbine length gas tube.
I have a 223 wylde 1/8 twist 7.5" pistol length gas tube that shoots better but isn't as smooth as the 10.5.
I have a 45 grip block on it with Hogue rubber 1911 grips on it since it's a pistol.
