Never replaced mine after being stolen.

I use an app. And the phone on air plane mode to save the battery. Amything less than 900 yards, I know the DOPE, I go off that.

I want the Kestrel for weather conditions. I can't get the DOPE from my Strelok app.

"Shooter" populates DA and Temp, and adjusts accordingly.

That would be helpful.

Funny you should mention as I haven’t used my 5700 in awhile but yesterday took it to the range and input my .284 Win and used it along with checking Applied Ballistics on the phone just to see how well they matched. Only could shoot to 654 but they gave same data of 3.66 mil with 183 Sierra running 2775. I did not link them just used local weather on phone in AB.
Knocked all the red paint that was the bullseye off..... that gun will shoot! cheers

I have Shooter but quit using it as it seemed to have IPhone glitches all the time

Yup. I never use the phone app much but its awesome to sync and load profiles that way. Biggest thing I like is not having to worry about battery like one does with a phone. It lasts a long while.

I started using the weatherflow instead of my kestrel 4500. Its smaller and lighter and seems to give me the same results for what its worth. The connect to your phone via bluetooth.

Admittedly, Shooter functions better on Android systems, which is what I use.

And I couldn't care less about measuring wind speed where I am standing. When I still had my Kestrel 4500 with A.B. I don't think I ever opened the wind vane door.

I do but only use it as a reference. I'll adjust angle and speed to what I see downrange.

I'm also using a Weatherflow meter in conjunction with BallisticARC on my phone. It's a pretty small instrument, Bluetooth to the phone works great, and at ~$100 it's quite a bit cheaper than a Kestrel.

If you can't beat me at your own range, on a course you designed, you should buy the beer, steaks, have Metallica perform, and give me your ATACR.

Once again. You are free to come out, and design the course of fire, unbeknownst to me, and everyone else, only you.

And I'll still beat your [censored].

I'll do that but the targets will be empty Miller Lite cans, tossed all willy-nilly.
