Which cerakote color for barreled action? - 04/04/18 01:54 PM

Need help picking a color for barreled action. I picked up a brown with black spider wed stock. Thinking of graphite black or a 80/20 mix of tungsten and graphite black since I have the sig tango scope in tungsten sitting on top of it.

Cerakote will send you sample plates. I always liked matching one of the colors within the stock color, for the barreled action .

Haven't seen it in person yet but you might look at cerakote elite smoke. I'm having a sample made up of a couple colors now

If you're looking at matching a 'blued' gun, choose midnight blue. But as Fireman stated, call/email cerakote and get some samples.

I like that midnight bronze a lot but it would clash with the glass bad. I want one of my AR's to be done in midnight bronze. Gonna look into elite smoke, and ask for samples. Thanks for the suggestions fellas.

I really dig the different shades of grey.
Fyi, I'm a very "boring" person with little to no fashion sense. So I like the grey because it's not too far crazy on a gun to me but it's not black.
I know I know I'm a boring person.

I went with Elite Smoke on my APR 7-08. My dad got the dark tungsten on his APR 6.5 CM, which I believe is the 80/20 tungsten/graphite black. Both look great.

That dark tungsten is nice. Every time I've seen it I think how good and versatile of color it is. The elite line of cerakote features looks impressive.

I’ve been told that color is really had to match. My boss had his Nemo done, and the guy had to do it like 5 times before he had to give up. He finally just did it in black at a discount.

I would go a different scope than rolling the dice trying to hit a gray scope.

I was thinking of the wrong scope. He has the vortex razor that is a dark bronze kinda color.
