Finally got the rifle I've wanted since I was a kid - 02/17/18 09:55 PM

Just found out I won an auction for the rifle I've wanted since I was a kid looking at the rifle my uncle used on elk and mulies up in Idaho. A Newton 1st production in 256 Newton (think 6.5-06).

Paint me a happy camper!

BTW - I'll have a rifle to sell as soon as I get them. Anyone interested in a 1920 Savage in 300 Savage? (Bottom rifle in the pic)

nice, the newton's were not factory drilled & tapped, always wanted one, but my eyes can't do the iron sights.

Wow that would be nice. I have one in 270. What was the price on the 30?

I looked it up. It was a pre-64 Model 70 in 30 Newton. It was packaged with a Pre-64 in 270. Those two combined went for $1380.00 including the 'buyers premium'.
