Rifle Range Near Carrollton / Farmers Branch

Tried the search function... but got too much noise as you can imagine using the search text "rifle range". I probably got hit on every topic in this forum.

I'm looking for a range to take my son to so he can sight in 7mm-08 before a deer hunt. Shots we will take are between 80-150 yards.

There is Fossil Point, but's a decent drive.

Can anyone recommend places that are around Carrollton / Plano / Frisco / Lewisville or other. So many new places have popped up in the last several years that I can't keep up.

I live in Frisco but go to Elm Fork off of Luna Road.

Elm Fork Shooting Range (Public) at Royal and Luna. They have 50 yard and 100 yard rifle ranges. About $20 for all day

So have to ask if you've been to the range in Frisco? I have not, but was curious.

Yeah, I have shot at the country club before. No more. You pay for an hour and they will run you out if you go a minute over.
