Gun Valuation - 12/29/17 07:50 PM

Guys and Gals, I need some help valuing a rifle. My father in law is thinking about selling it and asked me for a price.

It is a Howa 1500 .223 stainless with a Monarch UCC fixed power scope in a Boyd's pepper laminated stock. The rifle looks brand new and for all I know it is. I am thinking $550ish would be a good starting point. What say y'all?

I am not trying to sell the gun in this post. I do have enough posts to list in the classified section.

I have no idea of that brand of scope, but $550 could be a starting point. Though I believe $450-$500 is more realistic.

$550 seems low to me. A laminated stock always makes a rifle more valuable.
