Assuming there are no major flaws in the design, it looks like a terrific option. I'd like one too.

9mm is great, but 10mm would be awesome.

I had one of the originals in 40 s&w when they first came out. It shot great. Would love to see one in 10mm!

Looks like the bastard love child of a keltec and a 10/22.

Reminds me of their old 44mag semiauto. Always wanted one of those...now I want this.

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/29/17 01:14 AM

I think the fact that they ship with a Glock mag adapter will sell a lot of them. I will be getting one hopefully.

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/29/17 01:19 AM

I had one of the originals in .40 cal...I was really lucky if I could hold it on a paper dinner plate at 100 yds..
I don't have it anymore.

Mikey likes it! He can't afford it, but if he can sell a gun at a good enough price at the San Antonio show this weekend, he'll be ordering one!

MSRP is $659, which for Ruger means actual retail is what, $499-$529, maybe?

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/29/17 11:27 PM

Whittakers is asking $478.99 for the new Ruger PC.

The sell the S&W AR (Sport II) for $493.99 and the Ruger AR556 for $495.99

Budget AR in 9mm using Glock mags: PSA
(this one was $530 delivered - on sale - could have been under $500 with different options).

I bet it is fun to shoot!

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/30/17 04:40 PM

I think its a neat idea for shooting suppressed. 147 grain should be nice out of that. Especially for someone who is recoil sensitive like an older person, kids or maybe new shooters.

Maybe in Obama AR dollars....you can pick up 223/5.56 ARs for under 400.00.

And a nice PSA AR9 for a little more.

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/30/17 07:52 PM

Think the cool thing about it is it uses Glock or ruger mags, and takes down like the 10/22 takedown- no tools. Other than that, think it tries to spilt the difference between hi point carbine and pistol caliber ARs.

Ruger had this rifle long before hipoint, and pretty sure way before pistol caliber ar style rifles, not sure when they discontinued the original. I bought mine in 1997. Of course back then they only accepted ruger pistol mags. Ruger basically made a few changes to a rifle they made 20+ years ago.

Re: Ruger PC Carbine - 12/31/17 03:50 AM

The thing that looks a little awkward is the magwell looks too big for the mags, I wish it were a little slimmer. Also, I'd love to cut about 6" off that barrel and turn it into an SBR.
