Might be time to upgrade my .45 TRP
9 rounds with one in pipe, in a 1911 platform,...not to mention a 10mm!

It’s a great caliber in 1911 for shooting and hunting. Really like my Kimber. There was one of these in the classifieds bnib.

I got that in an email. I like it, but I don’t like 1911’s. Darn things just don’t fit my hands. I recently picked up a Sig P220 SAO Super Match, and it’s a damn fine 1911 variant. They also make it in 10mm, but I have zero use for it.

I'm a sucker for a good 10mm!!! I love the tactical look of the 1911 style pistols with the rail on the bottom (that's just me!). I love all my Glocks in 10mm. My favorite though is the G40 in 10mm. I've finished off several pigs with it, and it's a hammer!
Thoughts on the Dan Wesson Bruin in 10mm?

It's substantially cheaper but does anyone have experience with the Rock Island 1911 10 mils? Seems like they would make a great truck gun if they were reliable. I've seen mixed reviews.

I have a Rock Island 10mm. I cant think of one bad thing to say about it. Built like a tank. And that new TRp 10mm is the tits!!

Good to know - did you have to do any modifications or was it solid out of the case?

Solid right out of the case. I’ve never had any issues with rock island 1911s. And I’ve had and have numerous models. Great bang for the buck. If you are ever out this way let me know and you can shoot/handle it.
