Fluting

Anyone recommend anyone who spiral flutes? Im thinking about doing a barrel and bolt. Prefer close to Tyler but open to others as well.

It was 5 years ago, but I think it was a two week turn around. Spiral fluting was only $20 more than straight, and spiral removes more weight. Plus it looks sexy!

Give Derrick a call at Horizon Firearms. He spiral fluted my bolt and barrel and they turned out great.

I called one time, and was told they are only fluting rifles they build.

Oh and DocH is right. APR is good. I had LRI jewel a bolt for me. They are good too

I’m not sure what kind of rifle you’re working on but APR told me a while back that they couldn’t flute a Tikka bolt for me. I ended up sending it to LRI. They did a great job for a very reasonable price ($45) and I think it was about a 2 week turnaround.
