FN SLP shotgun? - 11/18/17 10:42 PM
I looked at a used FN SLP 12ga shotgun today at a local pawn shop.
It looked well built, and was cheap compared to a new one.
I was wondering if anyone has used one and has an opinion on how good they are?
Are they worth the price over a Remington , Mossberg, or other similar semi auto shotguns?

They have a great reputation and I believe are often used in 3-gun competitions. Google it and I think you will like what you read.
I've seen a variety of outcomes with them. Sometimes they run, sometimes not so much. They're not used much in 3 gun anymore. FN used to sponsor 3gun nation, so they got a lot of press.

Shotguns should start with a "B"

If I remember correctly, they are basically a Winchester. I know the pumps were based on the 1300

Doing a little research, looks like the action is the same as Browning Gold and Winchester SX.
Basically they are made the same . SLP is a tactical gun. Winchester is the hunting gun. Browning is the top of the line.
