Class3machining he is a member here and goes by dallasshootingsupplies. He has threaded a lot of barrels for members here and has great pricing , quality work, and quick turn around

doesn't have to be close, you ship the barrel and he threads it and you get it back in about a week

Yep. Shipping is $20 and you can ship multiples. I had two done last week. Shipped out Monday and got them back Friday.

Breckenridge would be closer and I bet Tramel (Sp) would do it.

Once again you fail to read the OP. Specifically asked about "close". Close means near. If he has to ship it close isn't an issue. cheers

I did read. A lot of people don't know you can ship the barreled actions and its $20. Close isn't always best either. Shipping is always "close". I didn't see you recommending any and I don't see any recommended close either.

Some people have issues with shipping any type of firearm. I don't want to ship one, especially one that has any sentimental or emotional value that cannot be replaced. If you like to ship your firearms that is your choice. And I would think anyone that wants a barrel threaded and has been shooting enough to buy suppressors knows you can ship firearms. You want a reference to ship to then use Wilson in Arkansas or Clark in Louisiana. Yep, either one is as close as your shipper. They both have national reputations.

sounds like the real issue is someone just doesn't like class3machining if that's the case please enlighten us as to why?

Jon Trammel does a good job on anything he touches.

No sir, you are 100% wrong. I have no issue with the man or company, don't know him. However, it seems to me that someone could claim you have a vested interest in your buddy. OP stated he was in Wichita Falls and you recommend Dallas, because shipping is easy. I personally do not want to wrap a gun and ship it. Someone mentioned I didn't recommend anyone so I said if shipping was considered close then ship to someone with a national rep. You did not comprehend OP. back

people are going to recommend what they know works what they believe is quality. I live in Central TX I didn't even know how far it was to DFW from Wichita Falls. That's why I recommended who I have used and who I trust.

ST, no problem, we are good. I read the post thinking the OP did not want to ship. Seems the fellow in Breckinridge is an excellent suggestion and close enough to drive. cheers

National Reputations? I must be googling them wrong, not seeing any barrel threading work from them, maybe I spelled it wrong. I like looking at peoples work.

I see me in the Firearms Blog, Arfcom, snipers hide, and dozens of other forums.

42 pages of "National Feedback"
