I’ll never buy corn from them again. Bought some Friday night that was under a tarp. Saturday morning we realized after opening a few bags that it was all moldy. Bucees won’t return it even with a receipt. There’s 8 open bags dumped in their parking lot at the FTW location. It smells like death

Did you contact the corporate office? I’d bet they would like to know about this.

I'm surprised they wouldn't make it right. I bought some bad corn from them a few years ago and they made it right. We bought a pallet and they replaced it think it was 12 bags that were molded. I'd take it farther up the chain of command until it's made good.

Picked up 6 bags at the Melissa store about a month ago on my way home and it was wet and starting to mold. Too far away to return but the deer ate it. I think the issue is at the store level when it sits outside and gets rained on.

Ive bought many many many many pallets from Bucees and never had a problem. Usually at Denton. I can understand your frustration.

Was at the store in Wharton last Wednesday to haul a pallet south. They will no longer load an entire pallet in the back of a pickup truck, trailers only for some dumb reason.

From Bucee's perspective, if they were using a fork lift loader, a lot less liability with a haul trailer vs a fancy or new truck, also most trailers are considerably lower than a full size truck so I can see their rationale some.

I've never purchased moldy corn from a feed store and they always put it where I direct them to.

Trying to make a gas station into a feed store is bound to result in some hiccups.
'Still looking forward to the Boerne location, if it ever happens, but I doubt I'll buy corn there. I mostly buy bulk at Roosevelt. Sadly, nowhere else in Junction has their act together enough to sell bulk effectively. One Junction feedstore is a microcosm of Junction itself - no one's given a chit for 50 years.

I've never purchased moldy corn from a feed store and they always put it where I direct them to. I ran out of time to make it to where I prefer to buy it. They store it inside. Bucees was $1 a bag cheaper, I had a capable trailer and briefly thought of buying the entire pallet, damn glad I didn’t.

Everything there is well thought out, I've read up on their business model. They make it on speed of transactions. No tables to sit at and eat what you buy. No tractor/trailer parking, they'd rather have the five cars that can park in the space of one big rig that will sit there a very long time. Well staffed check out line with a card reader that is audible, enough bathroom stalls so no one ever stands around waiting on a place to pee, huge drink station, ice about 25% of the price anywhere else and plenty of it, always an open gas pump. I buy a few things there: feeder batteries, corn and ice. I got some moldy corn once. No big deal, all things considered. I can't imagine the conversation with a customer that is standing there with a receipt and 8 bags of obviously molded corn and them telling you to pound sand. That doesn't sound like Bucees at all, they're friendly. What did they say? The owner is on the board of TP&W, he likes and wants hunters in his stores.

He told me the corn could’ve gotten wet between when I bought it and when I opened it and molded during that time. I bought 20 bags, some were only partially molded, others were dang near a solid block from all the mold. I’ll be calling corporate and asking for a full refund.

A few years ago I stopped at a random Allsups and grabbed 10 bags only to later find it all molded
Even Allsups gave my $$$ back

I bought 8 bags from Bu-cees in Royce City that had weevil’s in it and the manager told me to dump the bags for pig bait and bring back the empty bags and he would exchange them. I brought in pictures on my phone of the open bags. The corn was from Wolfe City.

This is why I buy from my feed store. They are family owned and replace anything like that with no questions. They have been 8.50 a bag for a couple of years but I don’t know what the big corporate places charge,

Maybe they've peaked. I don't wish any ethical business to fail, but nothing can expand and improve forever, ad infinitum. Anyone remember Stuckey's?
The Boerne one has been off to a terrible start for well over 5 years now. Groundbreaking was in the paper a few months ago, then...nuthin'.
