Big shoutout and thank you to Mikei here on the forum. Ran down to Mason early this morning to buy this little pump jack from his neighbor. Got it set up in the wildflower patch with my old John Deere tractor….

Was truly a pleasure for me and Spitfire to meet him and his wife. Wonderful people….like almost every other hunting forum member we’ve met!

For just starting it’s second year the patch is coming along nicely….I was told it would take 4-6 years to get it fully established and I’m adding plants and seeds every year…. Would still like to find an old windmill and put in a small sunfish/goldfish/koi pond with a small dock and than I’d be all set!

Now if I could just strike oil I could retire!

I’m so very ready for it to look more like this….but as with most things in life, just takes time and money!


We also caught a beautiful sunrise and saw a neat old cannon!
