I emailed Tactacam this morning, asking if I could buy just a solar panel cord, since a couple of mine have been chewed and one won't make a connection to the camera. Got a quick response and two options, armored or regular. I tried to order armored, but they're out of stock. I emailed the lady back and she apologized and already has a regular cord coming, no charge, until I can order some armored ones. Super-fast response. This kind of customer service is especially rare these days. I remember Weber grills used to have this kind of service, maybe they still do.

I'm personally growing tired of hassling with trail cameras of any type (batteries, varmints, etc.), but it's nice to know a company that is building a great reputation for supporting its customers. up

Very nice. You know, there is flexible metal conduit all over Amazon if you didn't want to wait.

One end has a large screw-on attachment and the other end has an elbow. It'd have to be split plastic conduit and they'd probably chew the hell out of that. I have some old/new house 110V conduit in the barn, if it comes to that. 'Sure glad I don't have cows. It's drought-prone country and I've seen what cows do to wiring on trailers. realmad

It doesn't have to be drought conditions. They chew trailer wiring all the time. I swear every time I hook up a trailer the lights don't work. The good thing with my goosenecks I can wrap it up high enough they can't reach it. The utility trailers I have used like a electrical junction box, but they would get it before going into the box or where the wiring went into the light itself.
