Retired Grandad looking for a family lease where he can teach his grandkids about the outdoors. I need to be within 4-5 hours of Houston Tx but not in deep east Texas. We're interested in deer (no trophies needed) turkeys, doves, and ducks and geese if available.
Until recently I was a landowner myself, so I understand some of the challenges of letting other people onto your property.
I'd appreciate any help
Thanks

And good luck to you sir. Good call on excluding deep east Texas, although there's a stellar member on here that possesses full realization of where he is and deals with it accordingly. Enjoy those grandkids.

Did you find a lease yet? We have a slot available in Doss, about 15 miles north of Fredericksburg. It has 8 feeders/blinds, 2 ponds, and a full camp house. I believe it includes one trophy buck, one cull and two does per membership. There are also plenty of pigs, and some years doves. We did had a turkey taken last month so turkeys are starting to come around. How many grandchildren would you be hunting with? The membership includes spouse and dependents
