I’m not really a hard core “turkey hunter”, but I’ve killed a few Rios at my place in NW Oklahoma. I decided a few months ago that I’d like to try to hunt other sub species, and I got on a lease in southeast Oklahoma that has easterns.
I checked an eastern turkey off my hunting bucket list on Wednesday evening.

Nice bird. I shot some Easterns when I was stationed in VA. Like you I'm not much of a turkey hunter but somehow along the way I have taken Easterns, Rios and Merriam's. I was stationed in FL for 5 years with the USN and it never dawned on me to try for an Osceola even though I could have done it with no problem.

How about you just congratulate the successful hunter without turning someone else's post into something all about your military time, what you did, could have done and could have done easily, but didn't? It's boring, and rude.

Did you not see where I did that right off? Did you miss the "Nice Bird." I seriously do not know what your basic problem is but your idiocy and fake tough guy routine gets really old. I am under no obligation to get your permission on what I post or don't post. Nobody forces you to read it or to respond to it but you just can't help showing your butt to the world. Did you offer a congratulation? NO, you just had to show just how big of a punk you are. You can officially kiss my A$$.

To the OP, I apologize for an ignorant member's hijacking of your thread. That moron has his panties in a twist about me for some reason and just can't resist showing just how childish he is.

I knew you were challenged, but you really do not read very well at all. I obviously didn't miss your two words of congratulations followed by your continuous, constant self-promotion. I asked, "How about you just congratulate the successful hunter without turning someone else's post into something all about your military time, what you did, could have done and could have done easily, but didn't? It's boring, and rude." [/quote]
