I hunted Foard on the Pease river 4 years, about 9 years ago. I swore I saw an elk one time. Now that I've seen these pics, could have been one of these Red Deer?
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Actually, yes, the elk and red deer escaped from a high fence ranch several years ago. They've been roaming around the area and multiplying since then. We've seen as many as 12 at a time in our wheatfield. This is an excellent property for a serious hunter (or hunters).
Could have been either. We have taken both elk and red deer. Elk are a little bigger, and the red deer are a little redder. Here's your chance to hunt Foard County again and get a shot at one or both.

There is not water or electric supplied to the property. The main camper has solar panels and Goal Zero storage to run everything except the air conditioner. We used a generator to power the AC. We had a microwave, small fridge, lights, phone chargers, fans over two beds, toaster, & coffeemaker.

My land is about 60 miles closer to D/FW, about the same size, and is valued at around $10,000 per acre. I bought mine cheap a long time ago as a place to hunt.
Ought to be a good long time investment. BTW, I don’t know the poster, and if younger would jump on it for a long term investment. It beats the stock market and let’s you hunt your own land.

Thanks, Dave! It has been a good investment for us. Unfortunately, my husband passed away suddenly in Feb, so now I need to sell it. It is a great set up for someone who wants to invest in a place they can hunt for years to come. It is about 6 miles out of town, so lots of peace and quiet.

Yes, there has been a well on the property. Windmill got torn up in a storm and we never did anything about it. One of the tanks is spring fed, so I believe there is water there.

I'm checking the landowner info and see that the ranch looks to be under two different owners. The ranch to the north looks to be owned by Leslie Goolsby?
