The coons are wearing these feeders out. Two different units are getting dominated nightly

Dukes traps work good on them. Caught 6 the past two nights at my protein feeders. Cheap dry cat food works best for me.

Caught 6 coons last week at one of my feeders with a couple Dukes. Always just use corn in mine.

Feeder holds up ok, I’ve had to replace a motor
My latest find is they are able to get their arm in and put a lot of corn on the ground. I’ll be empty before I can get after them with the traps
I’m going to have to figure a way to slow this

I’m going to have to figure a way to slow this They definitely will reach in and drag corn out. Some disagree that they can reach in and spin the spinner but they can. I have extended the plates on my bucees feeders.

Freerange, can you show us what you did to extend the plates please? Ill have to dig for pics of mine but in the meantime I linked below a thread about Bucees feeders and long armed coons. It has a good pic of what is probably a good way to do it. My way is a lot cheaper(Ill look for pics.) https://texashuntingforum.com/forum...7417/coon-proof-feeders-nope#Post8657417Here’s a quick pic from the thread link above. Not my modification but seems like a good one.

Thanks. Will be doing that to my feeders soon. Have the long armed coons on camera reaching in and dragging the corn out. Didn't think it was possible until I caught them on camera. Been trapping them but tough to make much progress when I'm not down south often.

Makes sense. Seemed like too much corn just to be dragging it out. Thanks again.
