I'm looking for a Brittany breeder that has some specific blood lines in their breeding. Some that I'm interested in is Beans Blaze, Texas Iron Mike, and Nolans last bullet.

Any ideas on specific breeders?

Todd Anderson is breeding some nice Brittany’s in Olney. I would buy one of his or one from Smith kennel in Oklahoma. Anderson and I were talking about his Britt’s when working some dogs a couple months ago and he told me the toughest best Brittany’s he’d trained were those Oklahoma dogs. He just had his first Britt litters last year and I like the way they are bred.

I have one 10 year old Brittany left and she still runs like she’s five. I have an old shorthair that may not make it to next season. I can’t decide whether or not to fill that kennel with another Brittany or a Pointer. I just picked up a couple more shorthair pups from Anderson last year.

Just get another pointer, no need for shearing or picking out stickers

Duke's Field dogs in Marshall,TX

He has some of the old Flying O lines still going which were Nolans last bullet, tequilas joker, Iron mike, etc.
I have a female from flying O that has all 3 in her that I am thinking about taking to Mr. Duke to breed with one of his studs.

We used Duke to train our Brittany and we will consider him in a few years when we get our next dog.

The best Brittany’s I’ve had were French. The old dog I have now is from this kennel, Shes the best dog I’ve ever had and a female. Bill and Kathy Dillon sold all of Their dogs to these folks in Fredericksburg. I don’t know if they are keeping things the same but the trip I made to South Dakota to pick up this bitch was well worth it! French Brittany are supposed to be close working dogs but Kate will run as big as any Pointer that you throw on the ground will run as big and compete harder than anything I’ve ever had. that little dog has pointed and retrieved 1000’s of bird.

My first French Brittany in 1996 ran big too. He was great on quail but we killed a limit of dove every day after work when he was my only dog. He retrieved several thousand dove every year with my best friends lab. Both of these dogs were never handled and sat in a cooler full of water and retrieved the dove, put the dove in a pile and jumped backed in the cooler waiting for the next retrieve. We never had to get out of the shade when we had these dogs!

Boudreaux was the first French dog I’d ever seen. He was listed in a Thrifty Nickel litter in Midland. His mother was imported already bred from Du Sorney kennel in France.. He was tri colered and the first bird dog I’d ever had to pay money for. $300 was a lot when pointer pups between friends were always free.

Kate is a Badazz dog. She hunts like my ol Daisy Girl did.

I am certainly not opposed to a French brittany. I'm a couple of years out from another dog. Just trying to start the process. I've even considered an EP.
