What happened to the good old days of smoking a rock in the bathroom of the 7-11 ? Only people I saw smoking rocks looked like they needed a bullet in their head to put them out of their misery ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/03/full-1562-447865-img_1860.jpeg)

My wife tried them for sleep. She just took 1 but had a hard time getting off of them. Maybe she should have taken 1/2. It was CBD.

I’m a bit behind the curve on this topic, where do you buy them and are they legal ? CBD shops and yes, they are. That is the general answer in Texas for non-THC products, unless you are approved for products that include THC. Or you can buy it with THC in neighboring states according to their varying laws. But the moment you cross back into Texas, you could get into different levels of trouble with the law. https://www.texas.gov/health-services/texas-medical-marijuana/We only ever bought some in Colorado when we were there during the summer and used them in that state for a limited time.

Texas Senate Bill 3 Is looming. “Texas lawmakers are considering a bill that would ban nearly all forms of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Texas Senate Bill 3 is backed by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and seeks to tighten regulations around THC products sold in convenience stores and vape shops. Patrick first launched the bill in December, calling for the ban of all consumable tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) being sold. The commercialization of hemp products with trace amount of non-intoxicating Delta 9 THC was legalized by House Bill 1325 in 2019, with the intention of strengthening Texas agriculture. The law allows the production, manufacture, retail sale and inspection of industrial hemp crops and products in Texas, granted that they stay at 0.3% or less delta-9 THC level. This also includes products for consumable hemp products that contain cannabidiol (CBD), as well as other edible parts of the hemp plant. Patrick now argues retailers used a loophole to sell dangerous products to adults and children alike. State Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, wrote the bill and echoed this sentiment with the aim to "keep these unsafe products off our streets." "If they are really honest with you, most of them will tell you without the THC products, they can’t be profitable, and so the gig is up," Perry said during Monday's meeting. "We’ve tried to let the industry regulate itself… they’ve proved they can’t, they don’t want to and won’t. It’s time to fix it." https://www.statesman.com/story/new...bis-consumable-delta-9-sale/81337784007/

I think that this bill is aimed more at taking control of What, Where, and How things are being sold before Texas Launches into Medical Cannabis.

I think that this bill is aimed more at taking control of What, Where, and How things are being sold before Texas Launches into Medical Cannabis. It’s targeting the head shops. Both it and the expansion of medical cannabis are pending bills right now but SB3 has the best chance of passing. I believe I read where the governor has committed to signing it.

So the wife and I go to Colorado every summer. On a trip coming home my neck was killing me so we stopped and a cannabis store and got some gummies to try. We got home and that night I took one nothing for like around a hour so I took another never again I was paralyzed couldn’t even get up out of my chair I thought I was going to die. Its funny now and a great story but never again, never say never but for sure not two.

Part of the problem with the CBD you get in Texas is the potency varies a great deal from mfg to mfg. I don't think they regulate the strength very well. You can buy one product that advertises a certain ml and buy another labeled the same and they may be way different in terms of strength. Price doesn't seem to equal quality either. It does help some people sleep but it's a trial and error process to find the right product and the correct dosage for the individual.

Yea, any Delta 9 concentrate is extremely illegal in TX and a tiny amount is a felony. I’m specifically talking about Delta 8 CBD.

The real thing is penalty group 2. Even the smallest usable amount is a state jail felony. It’s referred to as THC concentrate. The CBD gummies that are commonly found in various locations are different.

I ordered Delta 8 gummies to help me sleep and they certain worked. I tried two one night and had bed spins...hated it but I did dream in incredibly vivid colors. At the time (and possibly still) the Delta 8 are legal in Texas. I think I'll order some more. The domestic warden did not care for them.

Anyone know anyone who has eaten a real THC gummy? Do they help you sleep better? Decrease pain from stuff?
asking for a friend. I don't take "real" (Delta 9) THC gummies, but I do take Delta 8 gummies every night about 2 hours before bed and I sleep like a rock. I don't sell them anymore but I bought like a 5 year supply before I let my license lapse. What brand are they? I have had trouble finding some that actually work to put me to sleep. I found some once that worked but couldnt find anymore. I dont want delta 9. I just want to sleep.

I wouldn't waste my money if they aren't real THC gummies.
And even then, why not just smoke a joint?
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

And even then, why not just smoke a joint? When I renewed my medical use card in Oklahoma, the doctor asked how I ingested my THC, I told her that I typically smoke it and sometimes take gummies. She said that gummies was the healthiest way to consume. She was hard up about not vaping it, saying that there is study after study being published on how bad vaping is for you.

It's really interesting how the laws vary by state. Have we ever had such differences by state on something which could get you a felony? I cannot think of any. https://disa.com/marijuana-legality-by-stateAnyhow, no plans on needing any again. Hopefully won't need to.

And even then, why not just smoke a joint? Because I wouldn't have kept my job for 28 years if I failed a random drug test. Before we had randoms, we had a small group of unproductive, really weird people. Took about 18 months, but they all tested positive and were fired. They were losers. I Changed companies but stayed in the same industry and had to fill the cup as part of the background/vetting process. Wouldn't have been hired if I had THC in my system.

What about this for a minor drug first offense?
Put them in stocks on the town square for 3 days and allow citizens to throw rotten fruit & vegetables, spit on them, and call them names.
The downside is I'd probably want to go into town more regularly for lunch.
