I did find a thread from awhile back regarding this, just seeing what else is out there. Looking for a reputable outfitter for a trophy class moose hunt. Would like to hear from some of y’all that have been. I’m not completely opposed to a drop camp hunt in Yukon/Alaska, but have heard bad stories of being dropped in over hunted areas. Who s been?

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

A friend killed a monster with Gana river last year. He is an outfitter, so when an outfitter recommends another outfitter I listen. But Gana is Yukon/NWT not Yukon/Alaska side

Alaska: Wade Renfro at Renfros Alaskan Adventure Sam Fejes at Fejes Guide Services Lance Kronberger at Freelance Outdoors Cabot & Pitts
Yukon: I highly recommend you do more thorough research. Lots of concessions have recently changed hands over the past few years and older recommendations are not really applicable any more. Ravens Throat Caesar Lake Outfitters Macmillan River Mervyns
NWT: You can’t go wrong with anyone in NWT. Almost all are great, however moose size isn’t directly comparable to Alaska/Yukon Gana River Arctic Red Nahanni Butte
Good luck!

In Newfound, Tuckamore Lodge. Great hunt and the lodge is first class I would recommend, if possible, paying the extra money and go to Trophy Area 1. Give Barbara Genge and her family my best regards.
