Hi guys. My first post.

I went on a Tower Shoot last Saturday, not my first, I've been to several but it was the largest. Most Tower Shoots have 20-40 shooters with 20 minumin with each alloted 10 pheasant. It is a lot like skeet shooting but with live birds.

This was biggest Pheasant Tower Shoot I've been on, 27 shooters 20 pheasant per shooter 540 birds total. We had an 8 - 10 mph wind out of the north that pushed the birds lower and faster to the south, east and west birds were normal flight paths, and north bound birds started high and swooped lower with some landing short out of range. We shot 351 pheasants out of 540 around 65% that's normal for a tower shoot. For myself I shot 13 out of my allotted 20, but if you count the arounds I fired 45 I did not do so hot. It is absolutely the most fun you can have with a shotgun.

Greystone Castle's European Pheasant Tower Shoot is next month. I plan on going the day after and getting what they missed. Packaged bird hunts are fun!

I like running my pointing dogs, after a tower shoot is over.
Dogs get in some work, and I get free pheasants.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
