What do you think? Wonder if it will pass in Wyoming?

It’s pretty simple to me. If you can corner cross without damaging the private property, there can’t possibly be any issue.

If you don’t own the space , then how can a bullet trespass.
I see both sides, going forward , it’s just going to be a lot of irritated property owners fixing lots of fence. Hopefully we as hunters can see their side and be the most respectful versions of ourselves, especially on taking shots on animal that have a high likelihood of not staying on public.

I don't see the Wyoming stock growers association letting that pass the way it is written. Allowing folks to touch the private land or premises is not going to fly with them.
Still waiting on the 10th Circuit Court ruling on this anyway.

They are worried about people doing something as harmless as this, while at the same time allowing 10's of thousands of illegals to tear down and destroy our fences in south texas???
Wake up people

Sure I can see their side and yours as well. Use your property to deny access to public property. Why not leave 2 feet of property at the corners unfenced to allow passage? Of course that goes against your creed. "It's mine fuq you".

Rickt, two feet is more then enough to let calves, sheep, etc, other livestock stray.

I also have part of my own ranch in a public walk in hunting program, and have actively advocated with my neighbors to do the same. Your response is why landowners are pulling land out of that program after guys like you show up, and tell them how it’s basically public hunting land, and those LO’s have to deal with your “will do the F you want” creed.. 2ft gap? You been around livestock? What is so hard about being respectful when crossing someone’s fence? And trying not to tear it up? Are there A-hole landowners absolutely, but let’s not make more. I can’t image why Texas got rid of the posted status law to a blanket no hunting with out written permission…. Easy to see the reason knocking on doors for access is a dieing ideology

Yeah rickt pretty obvious you don't own land or cattle.
Another bill addresses touching private land and trespass and the penalty:
HOUSE BILL NO. HB0109
Trespassing-suspend hunting license.
Sponsored by: Representative(s) Allemand and Campbell, K and Senator(s) French and Ide
A BILL
for
AN ACT relating to game and fish; prohibiting hunters who are convicted of trespassing on private land from purchasing hunting, fishing and trapping licenses as specified; requiring rulemaking; and providing for effective dates.
Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:
Section 1. W.S. 23‑3‑305(b) is amended to read:
23‑3‑305. Hunting from highway; entering or traveling through private property without permission; penalty; hunting at night without permission prohibited.
(b) No person shall enter upon, travel through or return across the private property of any person to take wildlife, hunt, fish, collect antlers or horns, or trap without the permission of the owner or person in charge of the property. Violation of this subsection constitutes a low misdemeanor punishable as provided in W.S. 23‑6‑202(a)(v) shall result in the person losing hunting, fishing and trapping license privileges for two (2) years from the date of the violation in addition to the penalties. For purposes of this subsection, "travel through and or return across" requires physically touching or driving on the surface of the private property.

Rickt, two feet is more then enough to let calves, sheep, etc, other livestock stray. So the simple concept of fence building escapes you? Interesting. How about the state of Wyoming condemns enough property to put a dirt road across the property and has cattle guards at both ends. Considering what they charge for tags to NR hunters they could easily afford it.

Easy to see the reason knocking on doors for access is a dieing ideology You are missing the point. It is public land the landowners are pulling out of circulation. Who says anyone was being destructive crossing a corner? Yes people who destroy fences are criminals. people who fence off access to public land are also. No I wasn't saying leave a two foot gap in a fence.Apparently your concept of fencing corners between two different properties is a single fence that joins the two properties denying access to public property. Believe it or not why isn't destroying that fence a legitimate act? Why not have the state declare eminent domain and build a road across the property to give access? Would you like that better? Cattle guards at both ends of course. Did you know that can be accomplished at the county level? Many years ago out in West Texas south of Alpine and north of Presidio there was some 60,000 acres open to the public. Mule deer, quail, javelina the works. A wise guy decided to fence it and claim it as his own. And guess what he pulled it off. The sheriff and Game Wardens backed him up and he got all that property for the cost of fencing. Seems corrupt doesn't it? That same corruption carried out between state and local LAE is what has been happening in Western states to the benefit of fcking Californians who vote demrat in local elections.

I didn’t miss the point. I see both sides, you only see one. I’d rather see legislation that trades acre for acre of land locked land. Problem solved no more million plus acres of land locked land. , no more general public crossing private. I’m sure you have no issue with people climbing up and over your back yard fence, or trying to implement a prescriptive easement that’s costs you thousands of dollars to maintain since it’s legally required. Anyway like I simply said I hope we as hunters are more conscious of how we treat private property and interact with property owners that boarder public. A lot of the A hole owners are a product of us.

I’ve had poaching/trespassing problems; more than once. I’ve confronted armed trespassers more than once. I don’t live there but am There a lot. Never pleasant and they always think/say they have permission.
I had owned my land for over 20 years when I confronted a guy who said he had gotten permission from the previous owner. I had bought the land from that guy over 10 years prior. So not a chance. That guy had been dead for 4 or 5 years.
Grandson caught a guy fishing one of my tanks. It’s a mile from the house so I don’t get back there very often. An [censored] whipping contest ensued and the guy knows not to do it again or offer my grandson an [censored] whipping.
Not pleasant to confront an armed law breaker. I’m too old for unpleasantness.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
