This is something Im not good at, but some things are obvious to others. What would this jaw be aged? This deer was on good grass prairie land, not sandy and there is good browse around the creeks. Lower jaw is on the right.

Pretty gnarly pic but it is obvious that deer needed to go to the Orthodontics. No clue on aging but the bottom jaw teeth look pretty worn down like on a mature deer.

It will be interesting when somebody that knows how to age by teeth chimes in, I would like to know also.

When they get that smooth it’s hard to get precise.

I figured him at 7 1/2, but I think he may be older. I have sheds from him in 2020, 2022, 2023, all about the same size, but he regressed this year. He was in poor condition, Im not sure he would have made it to next year.

The last one I had age via Cementum annuli was touch sharper and then one you posted and was 7.5, two years before that I had one aged at 8.5 via CA that was sharper then the 7.5. I would venture on yours is older then 7.5 but not who knows
