I've had traps out for the last 2 months and this one might have been in one of them. Anyway he's buzzard bait now.

Had an extra large coyote twist out off a snare cable and get away. Then spotted him a month later while deer hunting and finished the deal.




So its quite possible your 'yote was involved in the trapping exercise.

We snared a three-legged female, caught her by the other leg. She didn’t escape the .243 the second time. But I’ve never seen one escape the neck like that.

wow, tough animals. i haven't seen one escape a snare like that either. i did have a coon in a dog proof trap that was ground anchored get away or something else took him and the trap away.

I had a tripod coyote on the place for a while. I’m the reason he was a tripod. I got his girlfriend later, but never got him.
